    Mr. Tawassul Hussain developed his first herbal formulation of for digestive disorders.

  • 1986

    Medics Laboratories was established launching the first product ‘DIGAS’ Herbal Tablets.

  • 1987

    Livergen (now Livgen) syrup and tablets for hepatic disorders was introduced.

  • 1988

    Kufsol (now Herbituss) syrup for productive cough launched.

  • 1989

    FC Forte syrup for menstrual cramps launched.

  • 1990

    Rumol cream and lotion was developed from a proprietary herbal oil base.

  • 1992

    Research collaboration with PCSIR Laboratories on hepatoprotective effects and safety of Livergen.

  • 1992

    Start of research collaboration with HEJ Research Institute of Chemistry, Karachi University on phytochemical analysis of herbal materials and finish products.

  • 1993

    Digas syrup for functional dyspepsia launched in the market.

  • 1994

    Founder Mr. Tawassul Hussain passes away. Muhammed A.Qayyum and Azeem Hussain start managing the company.

  • 1995

    Digas Colic Drops for infantile colic were launched.

  • 1996

    Rumol Lotion becomes the first product from Pakistan be registered with Health & Welfare Canada.

  • 2001

    Muahmmed A. Qayyum CEO Medics Laboratories at the time, developed traditional medicine GMP guidelines for Pakistan in collaboration with NIH and WHO

  • 2004

    Muhammed A. Qayyum CEO Medics Laboratories at the time co authored Pakistan’s Traditional Medicine Policy in collaboration with NIH and WHO

  • 2008

    Collaboration with Civil Hospital, Karachi for first ever clinical trial on St. John’s Wort in Pakistan

  • 2010

    Medics Laboratories was incorporated as a Private Limited Company in Pakistan.

  • 2010

    Distribution partnership with Muller & Phipps, Pakistan’s largest distribution network.

  • 2011

    Launch of Medics TootSiah Plus syrup an innovative combination of Black Mulberries with Honey and Licorice for sore throat.

  • 2011

    Exclusive partnership with Finzelberg AG for development of premium phtyo pharmaceuticals.

  • 2012

    Medics develops and helps introduce first Ivy Leaf cough formulation (Coferb) in Pakistan. Collaboration with Hilton Pharma for mass production of Ivy Leaf syrup in Pakistan.

  • 2013

    Medics starts consumer awareness media campaign of Digas Colic Drops on major nationwide networks.

  • 2016

    Medics acquires “FORM 6” therapeutic goods manufacturer enlistment certificate, issued by Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP).
  • 2017

    All products manufactured by Medics receive “FORM 7” product enlistment certificate (market authorization), issued by Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP).
  • 2017

    Medics receives Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Certificate from Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP).
  • 2017

    Medics develops and launches first liquid filled antacid sachets in Pakistan under the brand name Digas Antacid.

  • 2019

    Medics Childrens Cough syrup an Ivy leaf preparation specially formulated for children introduced in collaboration with Finzelberg AG.

  • 2020

    Pakistan’s first clinically proven herbal medicinal product for common cold from Pelargonium extract launched under the brand name Coldeez Pelargonium syrup in collaboration with Finzelberg AG.

  • 2021

    Medics collaborates with Dow University of Health Sciences to evaluate efficacy and mode of action of Digas Colic Drops. Research work published in Mar 2021 supplementary issue volume 34 issue 2 of Pakistan Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
